Hi, I'm Amanda. My passion for snakes began several decades ago, when I worked with reptiles, as a wildlife carer. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for wildlife and the important role every species plays in our natural world.

Today, I’m a Learning and Development Consultant, combining my professional passion for creating engaging educational experiences with my lifelong fascination of snakes. Fangtastic Facts brings those two worlds together.

Through this website, I want to help people see snakes differently, not as animals to fear, but as fascinating, unique creatures that need our protection. Snakes play an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems, and the study of their venom has uncovered compounds that have contributed to important advances in medicine, including treatments for heart disease, high blood pressure and blood clots. ​

Fangtastic Facts is my way of sharing that story. I hope to inspire curiosity, replace fear with knowledge, and encourage a greater appreciation for these remarkable animals and the environments they call home.
